Munnings Cafe – Museum

Phil popped along to the lovely Munnings Café in Dedham, Suffolk, to install a cash register, this is one of our lovely existing customers, albeit a new venture!

The cash register will allow the staff to take the money from the customer whilst using a reliable and user friendly system. Although a basic cash register it`s what suits the business that’s important. It may be further down the line the business warrants the use of a touch screen but at the moment the cash register Phil installed will do the job satisfactorily and will provide daily and weekly readings.

If you are interested in more information regarding Cash Registers check out the page here – Or even better, call Jason on 01603 610559 and he will talk you through your options.

Lets talk a little about Munnings Café – Museum

The Munnings Art Museum is situated in a castle house, and was formally the home of Sir Alfred Munnings and his wife Violet. Munnings describes this property as the house of his dreams!

He lived and worked in this truly amazing and elegant Georgian building for over 40 years until his death in 1959.

The house and gardens were set in 40 acres of the most beautiful countryside in the Dedham Vale on the borders of Suffolk and Essex. The museum owns a large selection of art works by the prolific East Anglian painter and former President of the Royal Academy.

The Garden Café will serve light lunches, teas, coffees and cakes. You will find the café open from March through to October. Other dates and times are available on their website.

You will be pleased to hear that entry to the café and museum gardens are free, so on a lovely summers day it sounds just perfect.

Walkers and Cyclists

As the Munnings is situated along the Essex Way which passes through its amazing 40 acres estate, walkers and cyclists are welcome to enjoy the grounds, but you must visit the Café and indulge in a delicious cake to help you on your way!

If you wish to call and book a table please telephone 01206 322127

This is a beautiful place to visit and children’s activity sheets are available, the museum shop has a range a lovely books, unique gifts and souvenirs. There is so much information available on their fabulous website, it’s very informative.
