Why do my totals not match up when I do a reading?

The most common cause for totals not match when performing a reading is that items have been left either on a table or check and have not been cashed off before the reading has been made.

Another reason for totals not matching is that items have been left allocated to a clerk who has been signed out before a sale has completed. 

To remedy these problems, locate either the table or check with the held items and finalise the sale, or sign into the clerk that is holding items and finalise the sale.
